There is a wealth of wonderful produce produced locally in and around Sussex and now for the first time Alfriston will hold its own Farmers' Market showcasing some of the best, including some of the stallholders from the award winning Lewes Farmers Market.

 

A  cornucopia of delicious delights will be on offer from the likes of Baked Bliss Cakes, Pure Chocolate Truffles, Stratta Fruit Vinegars, Sussex Faire Chutneys,  High Weald Dairy, Vegelove Gluten Free , Sussex Pies,  Naked and Ready pates and Scotch eggs to name but a few. 

 

A mix of both staple and specialist produce, all our stallholders are involved in the production of their produce and come from within a radius of 40 miles of the village. 

 

Our producers are always happy to talk about their products with you: how it was reared, grown, or made. They may provide you with recipes, and information how to get the best from their product, and many give out tastings so you can try before you buy.

 

If a stall-holder does not have what you are looking for, or you are unsure if they have a specialty item such as gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan, please ask them; they may well be able to help.

 

Many of our producers have won local, regional and national awards for their produce, and some have won international awards as well.
